In contrast to the reporting units the previous generation of systems, in TCU3 the innovative technology of requests for data retrieval. It eliminated the major shortcomings of the Report Wizard in TCU2 and TCU1 - linearity and lack of conservation of two or more queries on any of the reports. Now the user can query to select from the available data for this report. The report may include a sampling of some specific data, such as retail outlets, the goods. Some of these data can be excluded from the report, etc. For example, you can create a report with a sample of a particular product or vice versa, for all goods, except some concrete. This sample, you can save and return to it next time. The number of stored samples of the system is not limited. To understand the principles of the master report, let's try to release a report on sales in the working example of the database. In the "Home" click on "Report Wizard":
In the left pane of the Report Wizard you can see a list of available reports. The most important and popular in bold. To generate a sample, click on "New Template"
Suppose we want to get a report on sales of citrus in the outlet "Shop SAM. " We call the template so that the title was clear which samples are saved in it:
In the "Filter ..." select from the drop-down list box in which you want to sample (in this example, the sample does in-store and by products). In the Value data box filter, select from drop-down lists, or from the tool of choice of products (for the filter "Goods"). In the "Add / Delete", select "Enable" if you want this value was included in the report or "delete " if you want to specify a value was not included in the report.
Forming a filter list, you must understand the principles of the filters imposed on tabular data. Parsing values filter the rows are on an "OR" (disjunction), if the sample is carried out by one filter, and on the principle "AND" (conjunction), if the filter is another. More clearly this can be seen in the figure below:
If, however, in the "Insert / Delete " for some value of the filter (for example, "Outlet"), you specify the "Delete", then according to De Morgan's rule, this option should be considered in relation to other values of the filter with the opposite sign and merge already not on an "OR ","on principle " and ". For example, you set the filter "Outlet" following values: Shop № 1 - include, Shop № 2 - include, Shop № 3 - exclude. In this case, the system will generate a report which contains data on the point of "Shop № 1"or at "Shop № 2 "and does not contain data on the point of "Shop № 3". The Report Wizard allows you to save the report in a file of any of the most popular formats. The resulting file can be sent by e-mail, edit, etc. To export a report to a file, click "Export report"context menu on the tape or simply right-click on the canvas of the report:
